  • 1 cup whole wheat flour atta
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder for extra crispiness
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for deep frying

For the Pizza Topping:

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup bell peppers finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup onions finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup tomatoes deseeded & finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet corn optional
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • Salt to taste

    Step 1: Prepare the Puris

    • In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, salt, and baking powder.
    • Gradually add water and knead into a firm, smooth dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
    • Divide the dough into small equal-sized balls. Roll them into small circles (about 4-5 inches in diameter).
    • Heat oil in a deep pan. Once hot, fry each puri until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

    Step 2: Assemble the Puri Pizza

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or use a stovetop method.
    • Spread a layer of pizza sauce over each fried puri.
    • Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese generously.
    • Add chopped bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and sweet corn.
    • Sprinkle oregano, chili flakes, and a pinch of salt for seasoning.

    Step 3: Bake or Cook on Stovetop

      Oven Method:

      • Place the topped puris on a baking tray.
      • Bake for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese melts.

      Stovetop Method:

      • Heat a tawa (griddle) on low heat.
      • Place the puris, cover with a lid, and cook for 3-5 minutes until the cheese melts.

      • Serve hot with garlic dip or chili sauce.
      • Garnish with fresh basil or extra cheese for extra flavor.
